X-Men Phoenix Saga Production Cel & Background - ID: oct22018

An original production background from the Marvel Studios animated series, "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Lilandra's ship flying past a large cratered planet, the hand-painted and multi-layered background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled, "The Phoenix Saga, Part IV: The Starjammers" which aired on September 8, 1994. Measuring 11.5"x23" overall, with the image itself measuring 9"x21.5", the background is in very good condition with minor edge wear visible in cels and background layer.
