A production cel and background setup from the Nepenthe Studios animated cult classic "Watership Down" (1978). Featuring General Woundwort, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. The piece is seen at about 1:21:04 when General Woundwort makes his way into the tunnels of Watership Down to attack Bigwig. Measuring 10.75”x13.5” overall, with the character image measuring 4.75”x5.5”, the setup is in very good condition with light edge and corner wear, some adhesive tape reside on the background corners, and the bottom right corner of the cel is creased.
